Payments
and Benefits

Take the guesswork out of your paid leave benefits.

Figure out what you’ll pay for Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance (PFMLI) and how much you can expect to receive in weekly benefits while on leave. The cost and benefits available to the employees under the PFMLI plan match the cost and benefits required by the state of Colorado.

What You’ll Pay

The total contribution rate for PFMLI premiums can be up to 0.88% of your wages, up to the Social Security wage base, which is $184,500 for 2026. Your employer may deduct up to 0.44% from your paycheck, or 50% of the total rate (whichever is less). Your employer will pay the remaining portion. Talk to your employer about specific amounts and deductions from your paycheck.

Benefit Amount

Benefits will depend on your earnings compared to Colorado's Average Weekly Wage.
